SCOPE

Folklore that consists of all the studies about the Folk Culture and Ethnomusicolgy that depends on the idea of researching music based on the cultural structures of the societies have been sharing a common area with different social science branches and also working in cooperation with those branches. Therefore, folklore and ethnomusicology are among the main areas which the cultural products of many societies are being researched. Regarding to this point of view the scope of the ITU Musicology Club 1st International Student Symposium has been determined as “Folklore and Ethnomusicology”.
